Valley City’s Historical Society’s purpose is to inform the public of local history through collecting, cataloging, and preserving artifacts and folklore related to Liverpool Township Medina County, Ohio.  These artifacts and catalogs are housed in Valley City’s own historical train depot located at 6615 Center Road Valley City, Ohio 44280. Meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday of each month at the Depot

Pictured here is the very train depot we use as the museum when it was in operation, approximately 1915! The depot was originally located at the railroad tracks on 303 east of Liverpool Township Center!

Photograph Challenge: Challenging all Valley City residents to send in pictures from the past! This does not have to be from 50 years ago, it can be you enjoying your first frog jump as a child or a fun night at the street fair! Looking to get a wide variety of our residents enjoying what Valley City has to offer from the 1930s to the 2000s! Please send your photos to neffwillis013@gmail.com  along with written consent to publish! Thank you!

Museum Open Houses

The Museum will be open for public viewing on every 4th Sunday of the month (March through November) from 1 – 4 PM. Our members will be there to assist the public with questions and show them around our collection of artifacts from Liverpool’s past!

Photographed here are school children in front of the original school house that now sits on School Street in Valley City. The school house was located at what was called, Frank’s Corners, hence being given the name Frank’s Corners School. The school house would have been south of Center Road, on Station Road

The photograph was taken about 1903, the teacher then would have been Bertha Strosacker
