Schoolhouse Rehabilitation

There was a nice article in the Gazette last week about our one room schoolhouse. If you missed it, click here

A satisfying trail of smoke wafted upward from the new chimney.  Inside, the old pot bellied stove came alive as it was fired up with its first Liverpool heating duty.  The room grew warmer on this cold January 30, 2021 date.  At first warmth was felt only near the stove, but bye and bye, it gradually extended.  One could imagine students in a time gone by, wanting the desks near it.  Maybe the older boys were assigned to the cooler regions.
This last remaining one room school building, part way through a major rehabilitation, is one step closer to being open to the public.
