Guest speakers will be presenting in front of the home bleachers:

1:30 pm Rebecca (Becky) McCauley Rench

Program Scientist in the Planetary Science Division at NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC. Becky will talk about what scientists know about eclipses, here on Earth and throughout the solar system, and what is so special about the April 8 total solar eclipse.

2:00 pm John Burke,
Medina County Treasurer, will talk about the 1806 solar eclipse which covered Ohio in darkness and became known as the Shawnee Tecumseh’s eclipse.

2:30 pm Madison Brass,
Madison is currently a junior pre-vet biology student at the University of Central Florida. She has always had a passion for exotic animals. Her talk is on “Frogs, when day becomes night!

A Total Solar Eclipse is a rare phenomenon. Ohio’s last total solar eclipse took place in 1806, and the next is forecast for 2099.
