This month the meeting will be held at the Town Hall, 6705 Center Road. This location is different from the normal meeting site, in order to allow for more guests. On Tuesday April 10 local reenactor Kathy Kraus portrays the exciting true story of Emma the Union Spy. Emma will use four disguises as she tells of her adventures as a Patriot. At Liverpool Town Hall, 6705 Center Road, Valley City. Free of charge and open to the public. All ages welcome.

Tuesday June 12 will see a 7PM return to the Town Hall. Judy Green will recall early times as lived by Laura Ingalls Wilder, subject of the Little House on the Prairie TV series and of several books written by Wilder.
Judy is a 34 year resident of Valley City and a former teacher in the Brunswick schools. She worked for 21 years in the main branch of the Medina county District Library, as a member of the children's department.
Judy read the Little House books, by Laura Ingalls Wilder as a child, and was left with a sense of wonder for, "What happened next?" This led to a lifelong interest in pursuing the story behind the stories, for the little house books. This has included visits to all the home sites Laura mentioned in her novels. In 2010, Judy attended the first Laura Ingalls Wilder Conference in Mankato. MN, and this year plans to be a presenter for a workshop titled, "How I bring Laura Ingalls Wilder to life", for the 2012 conference, along with three other presenters from all over the US
.

The Society was started in 1976. Its purpose is to advance public education of local history through collecting, cataloging, and preserving artifacts and folklore that is related to the history of Liverpool Township, Medina County, Ohio. The artifacts are housed in the township-owned museum.

It was a very active group of volunteers for some time. As these things sometimes happen, members lost interest and activities dwindled.
Then came the 2010 Bicentennial and its terrific celebration. Now that the dust has begun to settle, a renewed interest is kindled. There is fresh blood plus some veterans. A new Constitution and By-laws have been approved. And we have achieved 501(C)(3) non profit status.

We now meet regularly at the Depot on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM. Come check us out. We are accepting new members at this time.
The entire Depot is dedicated as a Museum thus offering more options to the Society.

With the additional room for display, Liverpool Township residents are encouraged to donate items of interest to the community. Also anyone who is interested in our history is encouraged to join. Membership is ongoing and everyone will be most welcome. For more information, please call Della Dangelo, President, at 330-483-3707.
