Eileen's Cafe is Closed
After 18 years of providing a "place where everybody knows your name", Eileen's Café & Catering has closed its doors. The owner, Terri Jones, is not going anywhere. She will continue to provide fine catering through Eileen's Catering and continue her involvement in the Valley City Chamber and the Downtown Merchants Group.
The Coffee Cup will open soon
The new owners of the building, Valley City Development Group, LLC have found a well seasoned replacement in Sonja Frederick, sister of Jason Samosky. She has many years of experience in the restaurant industry, most recently at Samosky's Homestyle Pizzeria, also located in downtown Valley City. She and her family, husband Dave and sons Trenton and Austin, have moved to Valley City and now make it their home.
The new name is "The Coffee Cup Diner" and will be simply known as The Coffee Cup. We are hoping to open early in February, barring any snafus with updating and licensing. Please be patient as it will be well worth the wait. Although you will see changes to the décor and exterior building, it will remain as the place to gather, talk about what's happening in town, get the "scoop" and enjoy a delicious breakfast/lunch and a great cup of coffee. Hope to see everyone soon!!

A Rural Reflection, the Bicentennial History book of Liverpool Township, is available for purchase or pickup at Valley Tack. The reduced price is now $25. Be sure to get the one double-sided page of corrections.
