Welcome to our News Page for 2011.

This will be our 50th annual frog jumping event.

Registration to jump a frog opens 10 AM at the Festival August 14. Jumping begins at 11 and finishes approximately 5:30. See Schedule for other activities.
A contest was held for Medina County Career Center students in the graphic design class. They were invited to design the logo for this year. It will appear on our new Tee shirts, beer mugs and trophies, which will be a real keepsake. Read about Nick Mayer, the winner, and see his winning design here. He will be present at the Festival and serve as a judge at the jump ring.
The logo is also featured on a unique, one time only, U.S. Postal Service cancellation stamp. Bring a letter or post card to be stamped. Better yet, buy a package of Valley City post cards from our Retail Shoppe and send them to friends or business associates. Historical and modern cards are available.
Travel Advisory: Center Road, AKA SR 303, entering Valley City from the east WILL BE OPEN. By special arrangement bridge construction has been scheduled so that both lanes are open this weekend.
The 50's Car Show is cancelled due to lack of participation. Sorry. We looked forward to this attraction for your viewing pleasure.	New this year is Laser Tag. Come join the fun.
Festival sponsorships are now being accepted. Take advantage of our early bird special, which saves you money and gives you or your business more publicity.
