News Flash! A Sports Illustrated photographer will be at the Festival taking still photos and videos. Who knows, YOU may be featured in a SI issue or on the SI web site!

How does Friday the 13th mixed with frogs sound? Scary? It shouldn't be. And here is your chance to find out.
The Frog Jump Festival is looking for folks willing to spend much of the night sloshing around ponds to catch our rental frogs. We can use your help Friday, August 13th from 9 PM to about 2 AM. We catch many rental frogs that are later returned to the ponds. It makes for great stories, and it’s a great skill to put on a resume. Adults, only, please. Contact Dave Raco at 330-483-4836.

And we can use some other help Sunday. Lots of fun, meet people, help this great community event. Call Jim, 330 483 3892.

Festival sponsorships are now being accepted. Be you a business, individual, organization or family this is a way you can help out this year and, BTW, receive public recognition. Application is here.

Travel Advisory; Columbia Road (SR 252) north of Valley City is closed for road work. From Columbia & Royalton Roads (SR 82) go east 2 miles, then south on Marks Road to Center Road (SR 303) then west to Valley City.
Or for the more adventuresome, go west 1/2 mile and turn left (south) on West River Road to Valley City. This road is hilly and curvey.

A contest was held for Medina County JVS students in the graphic design class. They were invited to design the image for this year's tee shirts. The winner is Megan McQueen who created this quite attractive design. She is now a graduate of MCJVS. Thank you Megan! The Valley City Post Office will have a new USPS cancellation mark featuring this Festival. Bring your outgoing letters and have them postmarked on the scene. Better yet, buy some of our souvenir cards and have them postmarked. This cancellation mark is good only for August 15 and available only at the Festival. Megan graciously modified the tee shirt design so as to meet USPS requirements.

The 2010 music will be by DJ Ray Allen - Mix of Country & Oldies. Want to join in the fun of putting on this Festival? Become active in the community? We have room for more volunteers. Contact Jim Sandor, 330 483 3892; jamessandor@yahoo.com.

More news will be published closer to the event as it develops. Check back often.
