Sunday, August 10, 2008
was a somewhat unusual weather day. The temperature was in the low 70's
with a cooling breeze from the northwest instead of the traditional heat
and humidity. A beautiful blue sky with puffy white clouds greeted what
must be a record crowd of Festival goers. They enjoyed jumping lots of
frogs, chatting with friends old and new, eating festival food, playing
games and generally enjoying the day. The event ended quickly as a shower
chased away all but those who were to receive a trophy. Even some of them
left before the group photos were taken.
Most visitors were from Northeast Ohio. But not all. One came from Japan, another from France. The states of Illinois, Kentucky, North Carolina and Virginia were also represented.
