Liverpool Township is a semi-rural community located in Medina County in Northeast Ohio. It was originally settled in 1810 as Township 4 in Range XV of the Connecticut Western Reserve. It was the first permanent settlement in Medina County. In 1816 it was formally established as Liverpool Township. The Post Office name was changed to Valley City in 1910 to distinguish it from East Liverpool, Ohio. The population is growing rapidly, and is reported by the Year 2000 Census as 4329. The remaining farmland is rapidly being converted to housing. Valley City is home to Medina Countys largest industrial park of over 900 acres. Census information is available from the Medina County Planning Commission. Township Government: Regular Trustee meetings, open to the public, are normally held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month at the Community Center. For more complete information visit the Liverpool Township web site, or call (330) 483-3102.
