Top Scholar
Program --- Jointly sponsored by the Chamber
and the Buckeye Local Education Association to recognize Buckeye High
School students with top academic standings. Following a dessert buffet
and other presentations, the Chamber presents the
Valley City Citizenship Award (Plaque and scholarship check) to a
graduating senior. This award has been presented yearly since 1974.
Alexa Weiland was selected for and presented with the 2012 Citizenship Award.

Memorial Day Parade
--- Grab the kids. Its time for a parade. This annual VFW
sponsored event gives the township a chance to remember our war dead,
and to see local groups march in the parade.

Independence
Day --- Have an old fashioned family fun day
while celebrating our Nation's Independence. A Parade, prizes, car show
and fireworks. Visit with friends and neighbors. Relax
The Liverpool Historical Society sponsors this classical event. Fireworks
provided by Valley City Fire & Rescue Department Ass'n and the generous
donations of local businesses.

July Social
--- A social gathering, at Jilbert's
Winery, which is growing in popularity. The Community Awards (Person of
the Year, Hats Off, etc.) traditionally presented at the January President's
Ball (now retired) will instead be presented at this event. Stay tuned
for more.

Frog Jump
Festival --- Now a tradition entering its 51st
consecutive year, the Valley City Frog Jump Festival is known statewide
and nationally. Over 600 frogs and their jockeys compete for the longest
distance covered in three jumps. Delicious foods are available. The
Chamber also offers a variety of other entertainment; music, games, etc.
It is a fun day for the whole family.
August 23-25, 2013
Valley
City Street Fair --- Starting on Friday night
the main street in Valley City is flooded with games, rides, prizes and
good food. Reunions with old friends are common and spontaneous. This
event runs for three days. Live bands play music through the evening.
All proceeds go to the Valley City Fire Department. A classic small town
event.
Details posted when released by the Fire Department.
October 1, 2013
Candidates and Issues Night
--- A chance for voters to hear, see, and interact with candidates for
the November election. Also, local issues will be presented. There
will be an opportunity for the audience to ask questions . Chamber sponsors
this as a public service. The date has been moved up to better accommodate
the growing numbers of early voters. Covers Litchfield, Liverpool and
York Townships.

Halloween Party and Parade
--- Sponsored by the Valley City/Liverpool Fire & Rescue
Department Ass'n.. Parade and judging of costumes for preschool through
6th grade. Food for children and adults at the Fire Station. Trick or
Treat in downtown Valley City. One of the neatest family events in our
area!

Christmas
in the Valley--- Major display of goods and
services by local merchants and crafters, giveaways, Santa at the Depot,
people, crowds, neighbors and much more in downtown Valley City. Christmas
Sing-a-long: local Church Choirs sing your favorite carols. Everyone is
welcome. Christmas Tree lighting.
