100 KW Wind Turbine Spinning at Three D Metals Corp. in Valley City

Three D Metals Corporation, a metals service center at 5462 Innovation Drive, Valley City, Ohio, has become a leader in its industry by taking control of their energy costs and installing a 100 KW wind turbine at their site.  With the current economic climate, Three D Metals is taking action to “protect our customers from cost increases related to inevitable rising energy prices in the near future by completing this wind energy project,” said Steve Switaj,  CFO of Three D Metals.

This wind turbine project is the first of its kind in Medina County and will reduce Three D Metals’ energy costs to help save jobs in the community.

Renivus LLC, a wind energy solution provider, marketed this project to Three D Metals President, David Dickens Jr. and CFO, Steve Switaj in early 2009.  Renivus completed the feasibility study for the project in October and Three D Metals contracted the installation in November. 

Switaj stated “Kristopher McCrone, President of Renivus LLC, was instrumental in Three D Metals’ wind turbine project which will produce an estimated 200,000 KWH of annual renewable energy.  Three D Metals is proud to install Medina County’s first commercial wind turbine”.
